Best Ranches for Business Travel
Holding a corporate retreat or meeting at a high end guest ranch combines the best of both worlds: a true wilderness setting and the conveniences of a city based facility. Two standouts are Devil's Thumb Ranch (devilsthumbranch.com), in Tabernash, Colo., and The Resort at Paws Up (pawsup.com), in Greenough, Mont. In addition to meeting rooms and state-of-the-art A/V equipment, both venues feature spas and individual luxury cabins. Devil's Thumb also offers more affordable Lodge rooms, while Paws Up has luxury tents. Both are open year round and offer abundant outdoor activities for incentive retreats, conferences and corporate team building. Groups at Paws Up can rent the entire 37,000-acre ranch, including all 28 vacation homes (a total of 73 bedrooms and 66 bathrooms), for $15,000 a day in September and October, which comes to less than 41 cents an acre.
