Why rent a boring sedan when you can play it cool instead? Avis Rent A Car recently added the storied Chevrolet Corvette convertible to its U.S. fleet. The newest member of the Avis “Cool Car Collection”—a series of high-end vehicles that can be reserved by make and model—the convertible is now available with guaranteed reservations at select Avis locations in Arizona, California, Florida and Las Vegas. The 2008 Chevrolet Corvette features a 430-horsepower, 6.2 liter LS3 V8 aluminum-block engine and electronic keyless ignition with push-button start, as well as cruise control, power door locks and windows, auto-dimming mirrors and an auxiliary audio input jack. Meanwhile, any Avis customer can now get free music with every rental. Avis renters can choose from eMusic’s catalogue of more than three million tracks, and get five free tracks for every rental up to four days in length, or 10 tracks for rentals of longer than five days. eMusic provides all tracks in MP3 format, which can be transferred to any digital music device or burned to a CD. To receive free music downloads, customers must enroll in the Avis eMusic Giveaway at avis.com/emusic. Car-rental reservations must be made through avis.com or by calling the Avis reservation center at 888-777-AVIS. An email containing eMusic download codes will be sent automatically after customers complete each qualifying rental.
