Etihad Airways Begins Nonstop Service to Chicago

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, will begin nonstop service between Chicago and Abu Dhabi on September 2, 2009. The carrier will operate flights three times a week, with plans to increase to daily service on October 1. Etihad has been flying to New York’s JFK since October 2006. In 2008, the carrier opened a new terminal in Abu Dhabi that includes a premium lounge.
