First-Class Executive Conference Centers

Sentry's non-hotel venue is first of more to come and offers a top of the line meeting space for banquets, trade shows, events and more.

Here’s an idea whose time has come: Sentry Centers (sentrycenters.com) is developing a worldwide network of first-class executive conference centers in urban cores. The first, in midtown Manhattan (730 Third Ave., between 45th and 46th Sts.), hosts group events, trade shows, banquets and executive education and training programs. Unlike hotels, the centers provide a distraction-free setting, “purpose-built for business events and featuring the latest in conferencing technology, amenities and security,” as the company says. Its new Sentry Center Midtown East has a reception area; a 4,000-square-foot ballroom that accommodates 400; a 45-seat executive board room featuring the latest in A/V conferencing technology; numerous breakout rooms and private conferencing booths; a 5,000-square-foot outdoor garden terrace accommodating 450 for outdoor refreshment breaks, formal dining or evening receptions; private executive dining with cuisine prepared by expert chefs; full room-control automation (climate, lighting, shades) in most spaces; top-tier A/V facilities backed by expert in-house support staff; a full-service business center and equipped meeting-planner offices; and industrial-class complimentary Wi-Fi throughout. Sentry Center also offers all-inclusive packages with accommodations at the Alex Hotel, across the street. The company says it is actively seeking leasing arrangements with commercial landlords in Manhattan and other major cities for dedicated meeting spaces between 10,000 and 50,000 square feet.
