Hotels Install 'TelePresence' Facilities

Some big hoteliers are phasing in virtual meeting rooms. In a partnership with Tata Communications, Starwood Hotels & Resorts is installing high resolution teleconference facilities called TelePresence in the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers, the Sheraton on the Park in Sydney, the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, the Westin Los Angeles Airport and the W Chicago City Center. Marriott is installing the TelePresence system in 25 Marriott, J.W. Marriott and Renaissance brand hotels in various cities, including New York, San Francisco, Washington, D.C., London, Shanghai, Paris and Frankfurt. Tata also offers a number of public teleconference rooms worldwide.
