How to Track Airline Seat Openings
Getting your favorite seat on the plane can be tricky. Passengers who want to change seats typically have to hope another is available at airport check-in. But ExpertFlyer.com says it has changed all that with its Seat Alert, “the first automated service that notifies both ticketed and non-ticketed passengers when occupied seats become available, including on flights that are completely booked.” Passengers are notified by email when aisle, window, exit row, bulkhead or premium seats become available on flights with more than 84 airlines worldwide. The service is available at no additional cost to ExpertFlyer’s premium subscribers (who pay $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year) for “24/7 real-time air travel information service.”
