Singapore Airline's Magazine Goes Digital
Airline puts in-flight magazine and others in seatback entertainment system.
You won’t find Singapore Airlines’ in-flight magazine and sales catalogue in most flights’ seatback pockets anymore. Instead, they will be compressed into a digital format and presented on the carrier’s in-flight entertainment system. Reducing the amount of paper onboard reduces weight, thus saving fuel. Singapore eventually plans to introduce menus and more than 100 magazines into the system, as well as e-newspapers and e-books.
