Site Rates Best & Worst Airports for Sleeping
Sometimes it just happens: You’re forced to sleep in an airport. When you have to spend the night, which airports are best and worst? According to the online Guide to Sleeping Airports (sleepinginairports.net), Singapore Changi gets top marks, while Paris Charles de Gaulle scored lowest. Seoul Incheon, Amsterdam Schiphol, Oslo Gardermoen and Hong Kong round out the top five favorites. After Charles de Gaulle, other less desirable airports include Moscow Sheremetyevo (called “hell on earth” by one traveler), New York JFK, Los Angeles LAX and Delhi. In case you get stuck, the site recommends bringing an inflatable pool raft for sleeping on the floor, and placing a dab of Vicks VapoRub under your nose to block out terminal odors.
