Software Program Monitors Employee Web Surfing
Teneros tracks employees' activity online.
Businesses can legally read their employees' email, and they can also legally track their workers' social network activity in real time. Software company Teneros (teneros.com) offers Social Sentry, which, for $2-8 per employee, will track every move your staff makes on Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube, whether the user is at a desktop or a laptop computer or on a smartphone (even one not owned by the company). The service records and archives all public communications and content, even when employees use personal aliases. Clients can also arrange to receive an alert when employees post specific terms: the company name, a product name, a competitor's name or anything else.
