Westin Brings Wii To Hotels
Chain offers interactive electronic games to guests
Staying in shape on the road may become a little more fun at select Westin hotels. Ten Westins now offer guests a Nintendo Wii game console preloaded with Wii Sports simulations (tennis, golf, baseball, bowling and boxing). Players use the Wii remote to mimic actions performed in real-life athletics. Also included is the Balance Board, which enables guests to participate in 40 yoga, aerobics, strength training and balance activities.
The Westins carrying the Wii console include the Westin Hilton Head; Westin Crown Center, Kansas City; the Westin Harbor Castle, Toronto; the Westin Diplomat, Hollywood, Fla.; the Westin St. Francis, San Francisco; the Westin St. Louis; the Westin Galleria, Houston; and the Westin Savannah (Ga.) Harbor. The company plans to roll out additional Wii systems based on guest feedback.
Now how about exercising your mind? For those experiencing a few “senior moments,” Westin offers a program called BrainBody Fitness, a series of mind and body exercises distributed in key-card packets at all Westins in North America.
Through this year, select Westin properties are also providing brainteasers in guestroom showers, in Westin fitness centers and on coasters at the in-room coffee station. The properties also deliver Sudoku and other brain games on clipboards poolside, or accompanying meals from Westin’s SuperFoods menu. Visit westin.com/brainbody to get started.
