Women-Only Bathrooms Installed on ANA
Putting down the toilet seat isn't an issue in some lavatories on Japan's All Nippon Airways. One restroom in the rear of the plane, available to female passengers from all cabin classes, is designated for women only on most international flights. To let male travelers know to look for another option, the lav displays a pink version of the universal sign for a ladies' room. Women can still use any other lavatory as well, but men are permitted to use the dedicated restroom only in emergencies or when the flight has very few female passengers. In answer to the inevitable question: Yes, the airline did install men-only lavatories.
Correction:
In the original version of this item, Executive Travel incorrectly stated that ANA had no plans to install men-only restrooms. Executive Travel has corrected the story (see above) and regrets the error.
