American adds functionality for WiFi devices
American Airlines, which recently introduced a mobile version of its www.aa.com web site, has enhanced the site with new functionality. The initial version of the mobile site let users check in for flights, check itineraries, see American Airlines schedules, review flight status and get destination information and weather. With the latest improvements, customers can now use the site to book flights, see fare specials, ask for upgrades, join the airline’s AAdvantage frequent flyer program and purchase day passes to American’s Admirals Clubs. The enhanced site also permits customers to make flight changes for most domestic reservations. The mobile aa.com site is accessible from web-enabled mobile phones, PDAs, BlackBerrys and other devices.
