Admirals at MIA

Miami gets a temporary Admirals Club

Members of American Airlines’ Admirals Club airport lounges were facing a squeeze at Miami International: The airline had to shut down its lounge in Concourse A in order to accommodate construction of the airports’ big North Terminal project. That left only the Admirals Club in Concourse D to handle all members at American’s busy Miami hub. But now American has opened a second, temporary Admirals Club lounge in Concourse E to handle the overflow. At 16,000 square feet, it’s only about half the size of the Concourse D facility, but the temporary Admirals Club can accommodate up to 275 people. It has two conference rooms, six showers, two TV lounges, a kids’ room, four Cyber Café stations and six work carrels, half of them equipped with Lenovo computers.
