Singapore Airlines said it will switch its non-stop New York-Singapore and LAX-Singapore services to all-business-class aircraft; economy and premium economy passengers will have to take one-stop flights (see this week’s story). Would you welcome all-business-class transpacific service? Do you think it is unfair to those who can’t pay (or aren’t allowed to pay) business class fares to have to take one-stops when they can currently fly non-stop? Post your comments here.

I recently took the LAX-Singapore in the executive economy section, and thought it was great service at a fair price. I am a business traveller, 100k+ miles per year, that is not allowed to book into business class. I will be sorry to see this option be removed. I am a little surprised that they did not try a re-configuration of the aircraft first. As I remember, currently the plane is about 2/3 executive economy. I wonder why they did not try to simply change the mix to 1/2 executive economy?
As I said above - I am sorry to see this option go
