With the opening of expedited security lanes at Washington D.C.’s Dulles and National airports last week, the long-delayed Registered Traveler program is now up and running in 18 U.S. airports (see this week’s story), with more than 118,000 participants. Our question this week: Have you joined the RT program yet, and if so, do you think it’s worth the $100 annual cost? Does it really get you through security faster? If you haven’t joined, what’s holding you back? Post your comments here.

Absolutely. I joined the program when it first started in Orlando. In fact I flew to Orlando just to join the program. And, I made my daughter join the moment I received an email that Clear was to have lanes at DCA (she lives in Arlington). I'll be even happier when O'Hare comes on line (if ever). I fly 200,000+ miles each year domestically. Live in Chicago and work in CA. I need something like Clear otherwise TSA would be arresting me every other week for insolent behavior. I find security to be offensive. Clear at least makes it palatable. I'd pay double just to keep sane.
