According to an investigative report by USA Today, the Transportation Security Administration’s air marshal program now provides security on fewer than 1 percent of flights (see this week’s story) as agents quit the service and aren’t replaced. The last two air marshals I saw were wearing casual clothes with shirts handing outside the pants but the shirts were too long. They were obvious.
