Application lets travelers share advice

American Airlines has launched a new application for the 67 million active users of Facebook (www.facebook.com). Called Travel Bag, it lets users share travel experiences and recommendations with their friends in the online network – their recommendations for restaurants, hotels and attractions in various cities, for example. They can also use the Travel Bag feature to keep their friends and associates posted on their travel plans. Information posted in the application can be organized by category, destination, network or previously tagged favorites. The Travel Bag application also has a link to the airline’s web site at www.aa.com. Facebook users can find the new feature listed as Travel Bag in the Facebook application directory.
