Alaska, Air France expand code-sharing, frequent flyer links
Under terms of an expanded code-sharing pact between Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air and Air France, the latter’s code will go onto Alaska and Horizon flights linking 18 cities in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska with Air France’s Seattle-Paris service, effective for travel beginning January 5. Paris-bound travelers from the affected cities “will be able to purchase a single ticket, check bags only once, and enjoy convenient connections to their final Air France destination,” said an Alaska spokesman. In addition, members of Alaska’s Mileage Plan can now earn miles that count toward MVP and MVP Gold status in the Air France/KLM Flying Blue plan, and can redeem mileage credit on Air France and KLM flights worldwide.
