BA signs on Steiner Leisure as spa provider at airport terminals
British Airways has entered into a five-year pact with Elemis, the British brand of Steiner Leisure Ltd., to provide complementary spa services for premium passengers at London Heathrow and New York JFK airports. Elemis said it expects to begin the spa operations in October 2007 at five existing BA terminal lounge travel spas – including four arrival and departure lounges at two Heathrow terminals, and one at the JFK departure lounge. In March 2008, the company will open three more travel spa facilities at BA’s new Heathrow home, Terminal 5, including two in departure lounges and one in an arrival lounge. Elemis will also provide new branded skin care products in BA’s Club World business class beginning this October. The company said its airport spa facilities will offer treatments designed for both men and women, and will specialize in “departure treatments” that help with sleep and relaxation; and “arrival treatments” meant to “reawaken, energize and uplift customers after their flight.”
