Overnight guests are welcome in this grounded jumbo jet

You might be tired of flying in planes, but how would you feel about staying in one on the ground? A former Pan Am 747-200, built in 1976, has been converted into the Jumbo Hostel (jumbohostel.com), located about a 10-minute walk from Stockholm’s Arlanda Airport. The property has 25 rooms, with two, three or four beds or bunks, an overhead luggage compartment, and a flat-screen TV; free Wi-Fi and breakfast are included. On the upper level is a conference room/lounge with eight first-class seats. The cockpit has been converted into—what else?—a bridal suite with a private bathroom. Rates start at about $145 for a private twin-bed room to about $405 for the Cockpit Suite. A bunk in a four-bed dorm is about $45.
