Boston Logan gets Clear lanes

And Terminal B adds new concessions

There’s plenty of news for travelers who use Boston’s Logan Airport regularly. In Terminal A (Delta), Verified Identity Pass said it will open expedited security lanes this month for members of its Clear Registered Traveler program. Pre-screened holders of a Clear biometric ID card will be able to access the special lanes not only at BOS Terminal A but at 18 other airports around the country. The company said it will also open an enrollment center in Terminal A, and is open to requests for bulk in-office enrollments. Clear said it expects to open express security lanes at Atlanta’s Hartfield Jackson Airport later this month as well. Meanwhile, in Terminal B (American Airlines), BAA Boston will cut the ribbon September 30 on an array of new passenger concessions, part of a two-year, $33 million improvement project to bring new retail and dining options to the airport. The expansion in Terminal B includes specialty retail shops like Duty Free Americas, Johnston & Murphy, Local Charm, Sunglass Hut, Techshowcase and Virgin Books; restaurants and bars including Cisco Brew Pub, Legal C Bar and Todd English’s Bonfire; casual food outlets like Au Bon Pain, Cosi, Dunkin’ Donuts, RYO Asian Fusion, UFood Grill and Villa Pizza; an Xpres Spa; a Hudson News; and, of course, a Starbucks.
