Airport savvy

Skip the traffic and jump aboard a train for a quick, 22-minute trip—a direct line from the airport to the city. Stations are conveniently located near most city accommodations and attractions. A one-way single adult ticket costs A$12. (For online bookings, visit airtrain.com.au.)

From Brisbane Airport, shuttle buses depart every 30 minutes from 5:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. All bus services meet flight departure and arrival times. Cost is A$9 per person to and from Roma Street Transit Centre and A$11 per person to and from city hotels (Coachtrans, +61 07 3238 4700).

All Brisbane taxis have standard taxi meters. A fare to Brisbane CBD from the airport is approximately A$25, plus a A$2 fee for departing taxis only. Go to brisbaneairport.com.au for more information about airport travel.
