Delta's Big Apple display

Delta brings a sample of in-flight service to midtown Manhattan

If you’re going to be in New York City now through November 10, you can check out samples of Delta Air Lines’ in-flight amenities at the corner of West 57th Street and Avenue of the Americas. That’s where Delta has set up a 3,500 square foot “multidimensional lounge” called SKY360. It has an entertainment area with leather coach-class seats and its new international, fully-flat BusinessElite seats (to be on Delta 777s starting next spring), equipped with working versions of its in-flight entertainment system. The display also has a bar serving Delta’s new signature cocktails in the evening, and seating pods where visitors can test menu items from Delta’s food-for-sale program. American Express is sponsoring a charging station for mobile devices in the lounge, and Avis is providing free WiFi throughout.
