At New York Kennedy, Delta sets earlier baggage check-in

Starting October 15, passengers flying out of New York JFK on domestic Delta, Delta Connection and Delta-operated code-share flights will have to check in their bags no later than 45 minutes before their scheduled departure. Previously, the deadline was 30 minutes before departure. Persons with no bags to check can still check in up to 30 minutes prior to flight time. The baggage check-in deadline for passengers on international flights out of JFK is unchanged at 60 minutes before departure. Delta said the new policy at JFK matches its baggage check-in rules at Atlanta, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Orlando and Denver.
