Several Crown Rooms get the ax
The Ticket, an Atlanta-based newsletter for local flyers, said it has confirmed that Delta Air Lines plans to shut down nine of its airport lounges effective at the end of this month. The airline cited a need to cut costs in view of sharply higher fuel bills. The lounges to close down include the Cincinnati BusinessElite lounge and Crown Room locations at Boston’s main terminal, Kansas City, Seattle, San Juan, Phoenix, Denver, Honolulu and London Gatwick. Delta noted that its own Crown Rooms and lounges of SkyTeam network partners still include some 100 locations worldwide.
