Dubai International Airport Set to Become the World's Largest Airport
A total of US $82 billion will be invested in the Emirate’s aviation sector as part of Dubai Government’s strategic plan 2015. The substantial investment is set to almost triple its passenger capacity and double its cargo capacity, eventually making it the world’s largest airport according to Sheikh Ahmed*. With the extra demand from tourists traveling out of Dubai, Leading publishers Explorer Publishing has released numerous essential mini guides, with their latest editions including Sydney, Hong Kong, New York, Singapore and London.
Alistair MacKenzie, Managing Director, Explorer Publishing, comments: “With Dubai International Airport expanding so rapidly, more and more tourists, expatriates and business visitors are traveling out of the Emirate. We recognise the importance of giving readers what they need, which is why our Mini Essential Visitors Guides are proving popular.”
Continued: “The fantastic thing about our Mini Guides is that they are written by local residents, which means the reader can gain a real insight into the city they are visiting. They are also ideally pocket sized for those on the go.”
While there is a myriad of guidebooks on the market for just about every country in the world, the beauty of the Explorer Mini Visitors’ Guides is that they provide the inside story on the destination. With in-depth, on-the-ground research undertaken by experts living in the country or city, the reader receives first-hand knowledge. The Mini Guides provide knowledge on essentials, exploring, activities, restaurants, bars, shopping and more. They also benefit from detailed area maps and a mini pull out map of the city’s central area highlighting key attractions such as hotels and shopping malls.
Founded in Dubai in 1995, Explorer Publishing started life as a one-man show. As a recently arrived expatriate to Dubai, MD Alistair MacKenzie set out to answer all the questions he had about moving, living and working in a new country. Since then, Explorer has vastly expanded its horizons, with the Visitors' Mini Guides being one of the company’s latest editions aimed at the curious visitor. Currently covering Dubai and the GCC area, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, New York and Sydney, Explorer Publishing has firm plans for expansion.
