Emirates targets San Francisco-Dubai

Plans to add fourth U.S. route

Emirates Airlines announced it will begin non-stop San Francisco-Dubai service this fall, giving the carrier its fourth U.S. gateway. In addition to its New York JFK-Dubai service, Emirates recently started Houston-Dubai flights, and had previously announced plans to begin non-stop Los Angeles-Dubai service on September 1. The company said its daily San Francisco-Dubai non-stops will start on October 26, using a three-class 777-200LR. Like the LAX route, the San Francisco-Dubai flight will take about 16 hours in each direction to cover the 8,103 miles.
