Hilton tests new guestroom concept

Hilton Hotels has launched home theater–like Sight+Sound Rooms at two hotels: 25 guestrooms at the Hilton Chicago O’Hare International Airport and 30 rooms at the Hilton San Francisco. The rooms feature a wide-screen, high-definition TV, a digital surround-sound system, and an easy-to-use connectivity panel for music, videos, games and laptops.
The system also has all-day sports packages on demand, programming from DirecTV and five or more XM Satellite Radio stations.

Meanwhile, the hotel chain has also introduced the “Hilton Breakfast Program” in North America, featuring a color coded system for breakfast buffets and menus. Labels denote whether the menu item is low-cholesterol, low fat, high-fiber, low-calorie, high-energy or an indulgence.
