Eos' fleet grows

Eos gets capital infusion, adds another plane

Eos Airlines, which operates all-premium-class 757s between New York JFK and London Stansted, said it has obtained a $50 million infusion of new equity capital, which will allow it to expand its transatlantic services in the months ahead. “It means that we will acquire our fifth and sixth Boeing 757-200ER aircraft, both to be delivered during the next five months,” said CEO Jack Williams. The airline is scheduled to put its fourth 757 into service in September, when it will add a new 9 a.m. departure from JFK four days a week, with a London arrival at 9 p.m. Eos also plans to add an 11:05 p.m. departure from JFK to London three days a week. The airline currently operates 32 flights a week on the route, a number that will increase to 44 this fall.
