Los Angeles International is the fourth busiest airport in the world, welcoming millions of visitors annually. Venice Beach is 25–45 minutes away by taxi or in your rental car, depending on traffic. A taxi will cost about $25. Check the helpful listings at the LAX ground transportation Web site to see if any of the new cool metro links head in the right direction. Or take the free shuttle to the Aviation Metro Station and catch the Santa Monica #3 Big Blue Bus (lawa.org/lax/publictrans.cfm)lawa.org/lax/publictrans.cfm) for a straight shot down Lincoln Boulevard, a few blocks from any Venice or Santa Monica destination. The prices? Less than two bucks.
