More chains are scouring trans fats from food operations
More hotel chains are banning trans fats from their kitchens, possibly to keep you healthy enough to return. Starwood says it plans to eliminate all artificial trans fats from the food and beverage operations of more than 400 hotels in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean by the end of 2007. Carlson Hotels Worldwide plans to eliminate shortening containing trans fats from the majority of its hotels by the end of the year. Walt Disney Parks and Resorts also said it will eliminate trans fats by the end of 2007.
