Hilton ends blackout dates for HHonors awards

Effective February 1, Hilton Hotels Corp. eliminated blackout dates for hotel award travel in its HHonors loyalty program. “As long as a standard room is available, members will be able to confirm that room using their HHonors points at more than 2,900 Hilton Family hotels worldwide,” a spokesman said. Besides the Hilton brand, the Hilton Family brands also include Conrad Hotels & Resorts, Doubletree, Embassy Suites, Hampton Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Grand Vacations, Homewood Suites by Hilton and the Waldorf-Astoria Collection. The company said the policy change will make HHonors the only hotel program with no blackout dates and the ability to earn hotel program points and airline miles with each stay.
