In Brief - July 2007
In Brief
In its bid to become New York’s “number one preferred airline,” American will reveal its $1.1 billion, 1.5-million square-foot terminal upgrade at New York’s JFK this summer, featuring 36 gates, 101 ticketing positions, and security checkpoint lanes capable of processing more than 1,900 passengers per hour. The main terminal has a 57,000-square-foot lobby, two new Admirals Club lounges and a Flagship lounge… The historic Brown Palace Hotel & Spa in downtown Denver recently finished upgrades to all 241 rooms, including new carpeting, tiled entry, reupholstered chairs, LCD flat-screen TVs and new artwork. By the end of 2008, all 199 guest bathrooms will have updated plumbing, new fixtures, marble tile and European showers…Oh no, Nicky O! A Chicago developer has dropped plans for Nicky O boutique hotels, the hotel venture named after heiress Nicky Hilton, in Chicago and Miami. Well, she can always still club-hop.
