JetBlue’s new JFK terminal said to be ahead of schedule
According to press reports last week, JetBlue Airways’ brand-new Terminal 5 at its New York JFK base is now expected to be completed in September 2008, well ahead of its previously planned opening sometime in early 2009. The 640,000 square foot terminal, with 26 boarding gates, is located immediately behind the historic – and now empty – TWA terminal designed by Eero Saarinen. The new facility will replace JetBlue’s current JFK location, right next door at Terminal 6.
