Ft. Lauderdale grows as a JetBlue “focus city”
JetBlue Airways said it will add seasonal service this fall and winter between Ft. Lauderdale and three more destinations, for a total of 15 – making it increasingly important as a “focus city” in the JetBlue network. The carrier will start daily service November 1 between Ft. Lauderdale and Richmond, Va., followed on January 10 by daily flights from Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte to FLL. All of the service is scheduled to end on April 30. JetBlue will use 100-sdeat Embraer 190 jets for the routes. JetBlue’s existing service from Ft. Lauderdale includes Boston, Buffalo, Long Beach, Newark, JFK, Newburgh (N.Y.), LaGuardia, Oakland, Ponce (Puerto Rico), Syracuse, Washington Dulles and White Plains.
