Company acquires Classic Shuttle
SuperShuttle International, which operates shared point-to-point rides between airports and customers’ homes and offices, has acquired Classic Shuttle of Long Island, which operates 35 airport shuttle vehicles. The purchase will allow SuperShuttle “to begin transportation to and from all points in Long Island to all New York airports,” including JFK, La Guardia, Newark, and Islip/MacArthur, the company said. SuperShuttle said the Classic Shuttle business will be folded into its existing operations in the New York area; SuperShuttle also recently acquired another local airport transportation firm, Golden Touch Transportation of New York.
