Low-cost to London

Low-cost U.K. carrier will add three more U.S. routes this year

Zoom Airlines, a low-cost carrier that started service last year from New York to London Gatwick and Bermuda, plans to add three more U.S. routes this year, the company announced. The airline plans a May launch of new service between London Gatwick and Ft. Lauderdale; flights will operate twice a week, on Thursdays and Sundays, with roundtrip fares starting at $798, including all taxes and fees, the company said. “New routes from London Gatwick to San Diego in the summer and Denver for the winter season are also being introduced to Zoom’s portfolio of flight offerings for 2008,” the company said, although it provided no schedule or fare details. Zoom has been operating several routes between Canada and the U.K. for the past three years.
