Luxury rental firm opens in NYC

Need a purple Rolls-Royce?

This might not be the best time for it considering all the layoffs on Wall Street, but executives in – and visitors to – New York City have a new car rental option for high-end vehicles. Beverly Hills Rent-A-Car, which has been operating in the Los Angeles area since 1992, has opened a Manhattan branch. The company rents a variety of exotic and even not-so-exotic vehicles, ranging from the Toyota Prius to the Lexus RX 400 Hybrid to the Aston Martin Vanquish. The company said its Big Apple fleet includes oddities like a 1959 Cadillac convertible, and the only purple Rolls-Royce in the United States. The firm offers a free pick-up service for local renters, and also offers a VIP airport greet-and-pick-up service. Or the company will deliver the rental vehicle to any hotel, home or business within 20 miles of its offices at no charge.
