--The former Crowne Plaza Hotel in San Francisco, at Sutter and Powell streets, is now the Hotel 480, operated by Marriott International. --Marriott and upscale hotelier Ian Schrager plan to open a new brand of boutique hotels—called Edition
--In lower Manhattan, the New York Marriott Financial Center has changed its name to the New York Marriott Downtown.
--In February, the Renaissance Boston Waterfront Hotel debuted, part of the Marriott family.
--Guests at Marriott, JW Marriott and Renaissance Hotels will soon start to see new in-room televisions with high-tech interactive capabilities. The 32-inch HDTVs will feature plug-in panels that allow guests to use the screen as a giant monitor for other digital devices, including laptops, camcorders, digital cameras and video games.
