More codes shared
Midwest, Northwest expand code-sharing
Midwest Airlines announced that effective January 8, it will expand its code-sharing pact with Northwest Airlines to include non-stop Northwest routes between Indianapolis and seven destinations: Denver, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando, San Francisco, Seattle and Tampa. Passengers on code-share routes can earn miles in either the Midwest Miles program or Northwest’s WorldPerks plan. The two airlines began code-sharing in November, linking Midwest’s West Coast routes from Milwaukee and Kansas City with Northwest services to Hawaii. The code-sharing is expected to eventually expand the networks of both carriers by 250 city pairs.
