HMSHost reveals concession plans

A few weeks ago, we reported on a number of new stores coming to Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport from a new concessions contract with The Paradies Shops. But there’s more: The airport has inked a similar deal with another concessionaire, HMSHost Corporation, which recently unveiled its own plans for new shopping opportunities at ATL in the months ahead. HMSHost said that in the pre-security atrium, it will install the first airport location of Blockbuster Video, where flyers can rent movies or games and then return them by mail or to any local Blockbuster outlet. Also located pre-security and in all four concourses, HMSHost will deploy new Z Market stores, offering gourmet food-to-go from the Atlanta Bread Company. The company will introduce four new designer retail stores not currently found in any U.S. airport: A Bvlgari store; an outlet selling P Diddy’s Sean John clothing line; a Salvatore Ferragamo outlet; and a store from high-end men’s clothier Ermenengildo Zegna. Other new retail outlets will include Atlanta Magazine’s Home Store; Jay Z’s Rocawear clothing; a Harley-Davidson merchandise outlet; and a selection of new newsstands, bookstores, gadget shops and, of course, another Starbucks.
