The former Embassy Suites in downtown Denver at 1881 Curtis St. will get a new life this fall when it is transformed into the Ritz-Carlton Denver, the first truly five-star hotel in the city. As the Ritz-Carlton, the hotel will have 202 rooms, including 47 suites and 32 Club-level rooms. Broncos fans might be interested to know the signature restaurant at the hotel will be called Elways. It's said to be the first Ritz-Carlton based on the renovation of an existing property, rather than built new from the ground up.
