Where the locals eat: Cremant (located in the Madrona neighborhood). Authentic French cuisine - but unexpected huge portions. You'll either love or hate the interior design (I think it's great).

Best place to take a client: Canlis. Old school menu and service, but amazing Roland Terry architecture and views East to the Cascade mountains.

Best place for drinks: Vessel. Just opened (end of Nov 2006) on Fifth Avenue. All of their "brown" cocktails are served with a huge ice ball - which is made from glacial water (frozen, melted, boiled then re-frozen in silicon molds) that lasts for hours.

Best place for a breakfast meeting: Hi-Spot. 34th Avenue in Madrona.
