Sheraton's U.S. hotels get a makeover

Properties will get ‘communication hub’ in lobbies

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts is getting a makeover at 100 U.S. properties as part of a global initiative to revitalize the iconic Sheraton brand. The company will renovate 50,000 guestrooms and redesign more than 100 lobbies over several years. The new lobby space will include an enhanced “communications hub” called “The Link @ Sheraton, experienced with Microsoft.” The improved Link will allow guests to use Windows-based computers to surf the Web, print boarding passes and use Webcams. Guests will also have access to TVs, daily newspapers and food and beverages. Lobbies will include a communal table that enables several groups of guests to work independently within the same space.
