Skybus coming to New York’s Hudson Valley

Columbus-based Skybus Airlines, which recently announced plans to open a second base of operations at North Carolina’s Piedmont Triad Airport, said last week it will also begin new service out of Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, N.Y. Skybus – a low-fare carrier that pledges to offer 10 seats on every flight at a fare of $10 – plans to fly from the Hudson Valley airport to Columbus twice a day starting January 6, and to Piedmont Triad twice a day starting February 25. Skybus operates a fleet of Airbus A319s.
