OUR TWO CENTS
Trade off
Keep a couple of wallets on hand for different occasions. If you’re going to a cocktail party, a money clip might do; but if you’re on a heavy-duty business trip, you might want a more traditional wallet with spots for credit cards, cash and business cards.
Clean it up
Try sorting through your wallet once a week. Getting rid of extra items means you won‘t have to rummage through them in front of others, and it also helps fight the battle of the bulge that can eventually lead to wallet damage and stretched-out pocket seams.
Phones away
Avoid putting your mobile phone in the same pocket as your wallet. Overstuffed pockets aren’t especially attractive, and cell phones have been known to deactivate credit and ATM cards.
To the front
Try to break the habit of putting your wallet in your back pocket. It’s an open invitation to pickpockets, and it doesn’t do your back any favors. Most doctors will tell you that sitting on a wallet causes unnecessary back strain while working or traveling.
