DFW travelers can sample new tech options
In an effort to position itself as “one of the most techno-friendly airports in the world for road warriors as well as traveling families,” Dallas-Ft. Worth International has kicked off a tow-month Traveler TechFest that continues through December. Big technology names like Samsung, Apple, Sony and Motorola are participating in the event, offering product demonstrations at retail locations throughout the airport, including Brookstone in International Terminal D, the Verizon Wireless kiosk in Terminal C and Airport Wireless shops in Terminals A and C. TechFest will also provide new product displays, prizes and giveaways. The airport said that it recently added two new power and Internet installations from Clear Channel to its tech amenities, which eight Samsung Mobile Travel Centers, one free Samsung Power Station and six recharging stations offered by Power Station.
