U.K. again allows two carry-ons
But not at all airports...
As expected, the British government has ended its carry-on rule restricting airline passengers to one piece of hand luggage. The new rule permits two pieces per passenger, but only at 22 airports in Britain. The list of approved airports for the new rule includes London Heathrow and Stansted, London City Airport, Glasgow, Birmingham, Cambridge, Cardiff, Manchester, Newcastle, Plymouth, Southampton and Southend. The one-carry-on limit remains in effect at London Gatwick (except for passengers connecting through the airport’s South Terminal, who will be allowed two pieces), as well as London Luton, Leeds Bradford and Liverpool, along with several smaller airports. Other recent restrictions, including those that apply to carrying on liquids, remain in effect.
