Cuts deals with Hawaiian, Jet Airways
United Airlines has signed new code-share agreements with Hawaiian Airlines and with India’s Jet Airways. The deal with Hawaiian will let Mileage Plus members earn and redeem miles on Hawaiian’s inter-island flights, which will carry United’s code once the agreement takes effect at the end of this summer. United previously had a code-share partnership with Aloha Airlines, which stopped flying last month. Meanwhile, United’s agreement with Jet Airways will give customers access to 13 cities in India, including Bangalore, Kolkatta, Mumbai and New Delhi. After the agreement receives government approval, it is expected to take effect around November 1, letting Mileage Plus members earn and burn miles on Jet Airways code-share flights.
