United offers free WiFi in airport lounges

New perk for Red Carpet Club members

United Airlines has started offering free wireless Internet access in its 27 Red Carpet Club airport lounges, and in its five International First Class lounges. Powered by T-Mobile HotSpot, the free WiFi is available to all Red Carpet Club members, customers traveling on international flights with a first or business class ticket, and persons who buy one-time passes to the Red Carpet Club for $50. United is currently building a new Red Carpet Club at its Chicago O’Hare hub that will be twice as large as the existing club at Gate B18; it’s due to open later this year.
